Every time I have the opportunity to photograph a wedding at a new location I take it. As an Eastern Shore of Maryland photographer, I have access to some of the most beautiful locations for Weddings, engagements, and family sessions you will ever see; and the heart of the Chesapeake is the gateway to Pennslyvania, Delaware, Virginia, and Washington DC.
Here are my top picks for Weddings Spots within a two-hour drive of my hometown Cambridge, Maryland.
The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay – For this one, I wouldn’t have to travel very far. This Hyatt is situated on 342 acres on the banks of the Choptank River, in Cambridge, Maryland. With four venues, the Hyatt can accommodate weddings of all sizes. The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay is an award-winning resort with some of the most picturesque sunsets on this side of the bay bridge.
Walkers Overlook – Located in Walkersville, Maryland this venue is one of two of The Overlook venues and part of the Serenity honeymoon destination family. A Colonial home and a large oak tree located on the property are picture-perfect backdrops.

The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and Inn– Nestled just over the Bay Bridge in Stevensville, Maryland this waterfront venue has been a premier wedding venue for over 25 years. From the newly renovated New England style Sunset Ballroom to the rustic architecture of the Inn Ballroom there is something to fit every wedding palette.
Anchor Inn – This unique venue located in Pasadena, Maryland is actually built over the water. The reception area which can double as the ceremony location boasts windows from floor to ceiling on three sides ensuring the amazing views of the sunset are not missed.

Overhills Mansion– This century-old mansion has been fully restored and is ready to host your family and friends when you say “ I do”. A tranquil 30-acres setting is located in Catonsville, Maryland less than 10 miles outside of Baltimore City.
Antrim 1844– A Historic Hotel in Taneytown, Maryland surrounded by manicured lawns and picturesque rose gardens. This beautifully renovated venue is rich in history with touches of modern elegance.

Terrain Cafe– The only location on my list that is located outside of Maryland but if you are a fan of Anthropologie then this is a must-see. A place where fine furnishings and beautiful gardens collide in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. A one of a kind experience located on the historic site of J. Franklin Styer’s nursery, a Philadelphia landmark.
